LEXINGTON (25 News Now) – McLean County Sheriff’s Police are asking the public for help identifying a masked man who entered a Lexington business early Friday, and they believe the same man was involved in five other robberies at the same location. November.
Police say the True Value Hardware in the 400 block of West Walnut Street in Lexington was targeted again early Friday. Police posted five pictures of the man on the department’s Facebook page.
The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall white man with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket, a black stocking cap, a bright yellow full-face mask, gray or black gloves, dark-colored jeans with tears or rips in the legs and black athletic or slip-on shoes, police said. White soles. Police think the jeans and shoes in particular may help identify him.
In addition to the Friday morning theft, police said the suspect was present for thefts at the same store on Nov. 12, Nov. 21, Dec. 7, Dec. 25 and Jan. 4.
