Lubbock, Texas – The 18th round of fighting begins on New Year’s Eve.
Texas Tech will open Big 12 play on the road at TCU on Saturday, December 31, 2010 in Fort Worth before hosting Kansas on Tuesday, January 3. The home board. Additionally, game times for previously announced non-conference games are now posted on the schedule. All 90 league contests are featured on 86 of ESPN’s platforms, Big 12 Now on ESPN+, and four on CBS. Dates, times and television titles are subject to change. Finalized lists of alternate selections will be announced closer to the match dates. The Big 12 has won the last two national championships, with Baylor winning the crown in 2021 and Kansas taking home the 2022 title.
Last season the Red Raiders were 12-6 in Big 12 play, including going a perfect 9-0 at home in conference play. Overall, Tech was 18-0 at home for the season, matched only by Kentucky nationally. The team finished third in the Big 12 standings and advanced to the Big 12 Championship finals before falling to Kansas. Tech swept Texas, Baylor and West Virginia in a 2022 conference campaign that saw it split with the other six teams.
Tech won its home opener last season with a 75-67 win over Kansas and will host the Jayhawks again this year in their home opener. The Red Raiders will travel to play KU on Feb. 28 after dropping a 94-91 overtime decision at Lawrence last season. The Big 12 schedule also includes games against Texas, including a trip to play the Longhorns at the Moody Center in Austin on Jan. 14. Tech will host Baylor on Jan. 17 and travel to Waco on Feb. 4 before hosting USA on Feb. 13.
Broadcast highlights at this point include playing Baylor on Feb. 4 in a noon game on CBS and hosting Texas on ESPN’s Big Monday on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. CBS Sports broadcast coverage is available live on Paramount+, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com And CBS Sports Headquarters.
