Albemarle, NC – Beverly Knits Inc. is adding to its portfolio of companies with a recent acquisition agreement.
The company, one of the largest circular knitters in the US, has purchased the assets of Gentry Mills, which provides dyeing and finishing services to the textile industry. The new business unit is called Creative Dyeing & Finishing LLC. The operation complements the Beverly Knits group of companies: Creative Fabrics, Creative Ticking, Altus Finishing and Hemingway Sewing Solutions.
A combination of factors led to the decision to invest and expand, said Ron Seitz, CEO of Beverly Knits Inc., which has been manufacturing circular knit products in Gastonia, N.C., for more than 42 years.
We feel it is the right time to turn our potential into textile dyeing and finishing. “This continues to support the re-introduction of textile production and strengthen our ability to produce ‘Made in the USA’ goods,” he said.
Due to the projected increase in demand, the new company expects to hire an additional 50 or so employees by 2023.
The Creative Dyeing and Finishing operation provides textile dyeing, finishing, nap and printing services to the apparel, industrial and bedding markets. Investing in advanced control technologies, including upgrading equipment, will modernize the operation over the next two years.
Beverly Knits offers performance apparel, athletic footwear, intimate apparel, outerwear, mattress and bedding solutions, automotive, industrial and medical products.
