Walmart Classic Fashion celebrates its commitment to American Made, American Jobs.

Santa Ana, California — (Business WireToday, Walmart leaders joined Classic Fashion executives to select officers for Classic Fashion’s first US-based manufacturing plant ceremony. For the next five years, the new Santa Ana, California site will cut and sew apparel exclusively for Walmart, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to “Made In USA.” With this facility, Classic Fashion will create 125 new jobs by 2023, support its existing workforce, and create an additional 225 jobs by 2027 for a total of 350 new American jobs over five years.

Classic Fashion Enters Chapter One With The Cut & Sew Co., Inc. The second phase of the strategy to support US manufacturing by setting up in Santa Ana, California will force the company to identify countries close to the US to source materials for production. Facility, and step three, is to grow vertically directly from the US to source materials.

Walmart’s partnership with Classic Fashion is the latest example of the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting American manufacturing, dating back to company founder Sam Walton. Nearly two-thirds of Walmart’s annual product spending is on products manufactured, grown or assembled in the U.S., and by 2021 the company has announced a new $350 billion investment to bolster its goal. In addition to partnering with companies like Classic Fashion to expand its American manufacturing presence, Walmart also supports American entrepreneurs through an annual Open Call event.
