The largest health care system in Michigan has been officially named.
Beaumont Health in Metro Detroit and Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids have formed a major not-for-profit health care organization. The system has been operating under the temporary name of BHSH System since its launch in January. Officially decided on a permanent nameCorwell Health.

Corewell Health President and CEO Tina Freese Decker said Corewell was inspired by “thousands of ideas from staff members that put health and wellness at the center of everything we do.” The system’s new logo is a blue and green sphere, representing the colors used by the combined organizations, officials said.
“We know the amazing results and history from Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health,” Decker said. “Now collectively, known as Corwell Health, we will move forward with a focus on health and wellness.”
Officials said branding and signage featuring the new name will be rolled out in phases over the next two years.

The officials previously said that the organization will operate from two main offices in the cities Grand Rapids And Southfield, oversees 22 hospitals, 305 outpatient locations and tens of thousands of employees.
