CPD issued an alert after someone robbed 5 Northwest Side businesses.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago police are warning about a series of armed robberies on the Northwest Side.

Last week, the robber struck five times in different neighborhoods, including Dunning and Union Ridge.

Police said the man approached the counter as if he wanted to make a purchase, then pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money and cigarettes.

Emergency times and locations:

January 11, 2023 at 9:52 a.m. in the 3200 block of North Harlem Street.

January 13, 2023 at 4:38 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Harlem Avenue.

January 13, 2023 at 4:51 a.m. in the 6500 block of West Belmont Avenue.

January 13, 2023 at 9:10 p.m., 7200 West Higgins Ave.

January 14, 2023 at 4:10 PM 5200 North Nagle Ave.
