Matthew S. Chester He was elected as a member Baker Donelsonboard of directors.
Chester is a shareholder and chair of the government enforcement and investigations group in the firm’s New Orleans office.
He has over 20 years of experience practicing law in the private sector and the US Department of Justice. Prior to joining the firm, Chester worked in the Department of Justice as a US attorney in New Orleans.
He is an honors graduate of Tulane University School of Law.

Blaine Briggs Retired from Louisiana Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company After 36 years.
Briggs has served as executive vice president and state manager since March 2010. Under his leadership, Louisiana Farm Bureau Insurance AM saw its best rating increase from B+ to A. This is the worst storm that has caused billions of dollars worth of property damage in Louisiana. Biggs was instrumental in securing the location for the new Louisiana Farm Bureau state office. He was heavily involved in the design and construction of the building that opened in August.
He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Brian Badinger Promoted to Vice President, Technical Programs b Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
Badinger joined Blue Cross in 2001. Responsible for developing, overseeing and ensuring successful completion of large, strategic, cross-organizational programs.
He most recently served as director of enterprise strategic programs for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University.

J. Christopher Dippel J. joined Ken Miller as special counsel in the firm’s downtown Baton Rouge office.
Dippel focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, government investigations, internal investigations and litigation for businesses and organizations. His experience includes 10 years as a federal prosecutor in the United States’ Middle District of Louisiana.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from LSU Paul M. They found the Hebert Law Center. Dippel served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Jay C. Zaney for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Scroggs has over 13 years of experience in office and industrial sales. He was previously a senior consultant at NAI/Latter & Blum.

Nikki Godfrey He has been with the company since 2020, serving as a strategy consultant for various high-profile clients. She has over 20 years of experience in higher education, communications and leadership development.
Robin Stiles She has been with the company since 2018. She has extensive experience in public policy, research, data analysis and organizational evaluation. She leads the firm’s qualitative and quantitative research initiatives and has been instrumental in implementing several large-scale, multi-year organizational assessment and strategic planning efforts for clients such as North Carolina State University, Kansas State University, and the Las Vegas Global Economy Alliance.
Therese Walker He has been with the company since 2018 and is a multidisciplinary consultant. She developed public relations, crisis communications and outreach strategies for some of the company’s most complex projects. Dr. Aaron DeWitt Chief Medical Officer at Baton Rouge General Midtown Campus.
DeWitt has worked for BRG as a hospitalist since 2017. He has held various leadership roles including faculty member of BRG’s internal medicine residency program, medical director of BRG’s skilled nursing unit, and medical director of local assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
He received his master’s degree in biomedical science from Mississippi College, and his medical degree from the University of the Caribbean. DeWitt completed his internal medicine residency at Baton Rouge General.

Lou Patalano Appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
Patalano succeeds Michelle Calandro, who announced her retirement after more than 30 years with Blue Cross. Calandro will continue to serve as executive vice president and special counsel until her March 31 retirement.
Patalano has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in a variety of settings, including private practice, payer side, provider side and government. Patalano most recently joined the Healthcare Practice Group at K&L Gates, a fully integrated global law firm employing nearly 2,000 attorneys on five continents.
He served as vice president of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, a large integrated delivery network headquartered in Virginia, as chief legal officer, senior vice president and corporate secretary of Centara Healthcare and Optima Health.
