Claudia Naziblo became the assistant swimming and diving coach

BLACKSBURG – Director of Swimming and Diving at Virginia Tech Sergio Lopez Miro announced on Monday Claudia Naziblo He was named an assistant coach after serving as a volunteer assistant for the past year. Naziblo was a Virginia Tech swimmer from 2015-18.

This announcement comes after former associate head coach Jaci Dyer was named head coach of men’s and women’s swimming and aquatics at Fairfield University.

“I am thrilled to have Claudia join us as an assistant coach for our swimming and diving teams at Virginia Tech. Over the past four years, I have had the opportunity to coach as a professional athlete and work on the side. She was a volunteer coach with our team last season,” she said.

“Claudia has spent the last eight years representing Virginia Tech and her passion for hockey at the highest level, either as a collegiate student-athlete or as a professional swimmer. Her incredible experience and desire to continue learning to be the best will advance our swimming and diving teams at the conference and national level.” Just to continue to dominate. Naziblo has spent the past four years as a professional athlete, including a stint in the ISL last summer for DC Trident.

As a Virginia Tech student-athlete, Naziblo earned eight All-American honors, multiple ACC Championship podium finishes, broke eight school records and represented Virginia Tech at the 2017 World University Games with a fifth-place finish in the 200 butterfly.

She is a former Polish national team member and record holder at international level. Naziblo has represented her country in various continental and international competitions, including the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.

Naziblo graduated from the College of Science with a degree in Economics and a minor in Small Business Leadership and Communication.

“Virginia Tech has given me the opportunity to grow and develop as an athlete and as a person. It is an incredible honor for me to be a member of this Virginia Tech staff and I strive to demonstrate our motto of Ut Prosim to serve the next generation of hockey players,” Naziblo said.
