Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel saw red as the Chelsea-Tottenham derby ended in fury.

London — Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte both saw red cards after the final whistle as the stormy London derby ended in fury and fury at the final whistle. The two managers shook hands immediately after the first equalizer in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea before they clashed once again at the final whistle.

Conte responded in the 68th minute by driving Pierre-Emil Hodgjerg wide. Tuchel was not without blame either. When Reece James scored Chelsea’s second goal, he ran past the Tottenham dugout and into the touchline in celebration.

Referee Anthony Taylor gave both managers a straight red at the final whistle, which will rule them out of their next game. The judge and officials may pay attention to other series of decisions. Tuchel’s anger after the first goal was at least partly based on Chelsea’s Per Emil Hojbjerg foul on Kai Havertz.

VAR official Mike Dean also chose not to red card Christian Romero when Kane was shown grabbing Marc Cucurella’s hair in the corner before the equaliser.
