A night to remember

Kiggins Theater presents Science on Tap, “Making Memories: Using Neuroscience to Enhance Learning and Education” at 7 p.m. at 1011 Main St., Vancouver. Neuroscientist Dr. Mark Pitzer presents a humorous but scientifically sound discussion about the brain’s learning networks, sensory connections, and visual and motor pathways that influence what we do. Tickets, $15 to $45, are available at kigginstheatre.com. Immunization cards are required and checked upon check-in. A mask is recommended. The event is in person only and will not be streamed live.

Old and new

The annual Camas Vintage and Art Fair returns to downtown Camas from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Fourth Avenue and Birch Street near Camas Antiques. This event features 60 vendors, including paintings, fiber art, ceramics, upcycled works, photography, jewelry and metalwork, as well as dealers selling antique, vintage and recycled items. Flying high

Join members of the Clark County Radio Control Society to fly radio-controlled airplanes at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 NE Delfel Road, Ridgefield, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Discover RC Flight” is for all ages, and families are encouraged to learn more about this sport and club. The event includes demonstrations and hands-on experience with a flight simulator and radio control flight instructor. Free items are provided for children under 12 years of age. Enter a free giveaway to win a starter kit. A free lunch of hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided.

Deep roots

Clark County Genealogical Society’s 50th Anniversary Celebration 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Saturday at the Genealogical Society Library, 3205 NE 52nd St., Vancouver. The event, a 70s-themed costume party, will be held outdoors rain or shine. Lunch will be served, including hot dogs, sides and cookies. Compete in costume contests, tour the library, and discover expert genealogists. Check out the “Grandmothers Gallery” featuring photos submitted by people from all over Clark County. Raise your hand with gratitude

Dandelion Teahouse and Apothecary on Seventh Street between Washington and Main will host a block party and dog fashion show from 4-8pm Saturday. The event includes vendors, activities and (of course) dogs. The main event is the Dog Fashion Show at 1pm and the theme is “Vegetable Tea Party”.
