McLeod Health welcomes these new physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Amber Martin, DO, and Kate L. Wyant, MD to the medical staff.

Dr. Martin, a family medicine physician, serves patients at McLeod Family Medicine South with Dr. Heather Shelton, Dr. Stephanie Strickland, Dr. Spencer Matthews and physician assistant Morgan Armstrong. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Martin treats a wide range of health care needs for patients of all ages, from primary care to the most complex medical needs, including heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, kidney disease and multi-system diseases. She also specializes in musculoskeletal issues and has training in osteopathic medicine. In the year She received her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Spartanburg, South Carolina in 2019 and is a 2022 graduate of the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Wyant provides obstetrics and gynecology services at McLeod Health Clarendon. She joins Dr. Monica Plotezke, Dr. Thomas Kee and certified nurse midwives Tom Chappell, Rebecca Cartledge, Shay Duddle and Alison Saran in serving patients at McLeod Women Care Clarendon. A native of Surgeon’s Bluff, Iowa, Dr. Wyant comes to McLeod after completing her residency training at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. She received her medical degree from Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa.
