“We will have representatives from AECOM, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and city staff,” said Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza. “After talking with a lot of business owners and residents along that corridor, we’ll have a brief of where we are in the design, and then we’ll have some time for questions and answers about where we can and can’t go. He said.

The House approved the additional spending for this meeting after a binding referendum passed by 31 votes in August. The city is now required to put a public vote on any transportation cost over $1 million before construction. This includes regular, annual road projects in the city as well as special needs for development, public transport, rail or air,” the city statement said.

The meeting will be held on October 6 at 6:30 pm in the SPASH Auditorium at 1201 Northpoint Drive, Stevens Point.
