As the leaves change, the style changes. Fashion is defined as a popular trend, but students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater never seem to be impressed. Hundreds of different styles can be seen on campus, all of which reflect their own sense of individuality.

Sophia Kessel, an art education major, uses her inspiration to design clothes that make her happy. Between hustle shopping and Pinterest boards, Kessel continues to use her creativity to express her passion for fashion.

“For me, my style is a little preview of who I am,” Kessel said.

Another example of fall fashion trends is the classic combination of leotards and sweaters. This will keep you both looking nice and warm as the season temperatures start to drop. Such clothes are often combined with a comfortable sweater.

Graphic design major CJ Kaegi prefers to wear cool, subtle colors as the weather gets colder. Their inspiration comes from a wide range of art and media, some examples including Tiktok and movies Matrix Or Hellraiser.

“To me, ‘chic’ means choosing to present yourself in a way that’s unique and interesting, not just what ‘everyone wears,'” says Keagie. “Sci-Fi Movies. . . It’s huge for me when it comes to fashion.

Vintage clothing is also coming back into style, allowing individuals to use their clothing to express their love of a bygone era. A baggy sweater and maternity jeans are often seen paired together with a pair of converse sneakers. A good place to find clothes like this are thrift stores like Goodwill and online shopping like Sheen and Amazon.
