Dior’s high-end clothes will soon decorate the halls of the Tyson Gallery.

Tyson Galleria recently announced on Instagram that the Parisian fashion house will open its first mall clothing boutique in Virginia. The store is currently expected to open in June 2023.

Brookfield Properties, which owns the property, said it sees Dior as a complement to the mall’s existing list of luxury clothing stores, including Versace, Chanel and Saint Laurent. The last two are prepared for future expansions.

“It continues to be an exciting time at Tyson Galleria,” said Kirsten Lee, executive vice president of Brookfield Luxury Leasing. “The Brookfield Properties Leasing Group continues to position the mall as the premier luxury shopping destination in the region.”

In the year Founded in Paris in 1946 by designer Christian Dior, Dior has 47 boutiques in the U.S., although its only current location in the DC area is at City Center DC. The company did not respond to FFXnow’s request for comment by press time.

An electrical permit issued Sept. 29 by Fairfax County indicates a Tyson Galleria store will be located on the second floor of the mall at 2218.

Fashion and accessories are the primary focus of recent newcomers to Tyson Galleria, including Balenciaga, Van Cleef & Arpels, Jacqueline Paris, Montblanc, Ralph Lauren and Omega. Earlier this year, the mall opened its Urban Space food hall.

In addition to Dior, tenants coming to the mall include watchmakers Panerai, Breitling and IWC Schaffhausen, along with Azuri Kitchen and Bath, Lee said.

Also on the road are Singapore restaurant Jiwa Singapura, sports bar Yard House and CMX Cinebistro, although the movie theater-restaurant hybrid does not have an opening date.
