Fort Worth’s first fall fashion week runs through Sunday thanks to curator Philip Maximilian.

Returning after a successful start this spring, Maximilian is once again at the helm. FWFW has several events this year showcasing fall trends with more styles, shows, and businesses and brands. Menswear, athleisure, and other western styles are just examples of the more fashion forward styles we’re seeing.

Maximilian will debut its first spring and summer clothing collection for 2023, aptly titled “The First”. Fort Worth’s unique Western culture is the inspiration behind the collection, which requires more than 40 hours of hand sewing. Spectators can expect frills and flowing chiffon fabrics presented at the show.

“We did an introduction in the spring that said, ‘We’re here, so come and see what we’re all about,'” says Maximilian. Now, it’s bringing everyone together in the Fort Worth fashion community and creating this massive week-long event.

This year’s event will feature fashion shows from Studio 74 Vintage, City Boots, LAUDE the Label and more than 30 other local businesses and brands. Events that returned earlier this year included a fashion reception at Neiman Marcus and Camp Bowie Fashion Row. FFWW kicks off tonight at City Boot’s “The Big Bend” runway.

“It’s a place that refreshes your soul. “In designing the Big Bend collection, it was important to me to represent the natural colors and charms of the region,” said Lizzie Bentley, founder of Urban Boots. Midnight Navy is an example of the dark night sky lit only by stars that I experienced driving down the Presidio Highway.
