September 11, 2022 – New York City, New York – At 608 Fifth Ave.
VANCOUVER, BC, Canada , Sept. 20, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — For the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Spring/Summer 2023 season, Global Fashion Collective (GFC) proudly showcases 12 international designers in three separate showcases. The GFC II show featured designers from the United States, Japan, Canada and India. GFC aims to spotlight and provide a platform for emerging designers in the world’s most prestigious fashion weeks. This firm has previously presented at New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week and Tokyo Fashion Week.
LUNALEE was created by Parsons BFA graduate Luna Lee, a Korean American designer in Los Angeles. This collection showcases her unique take on American sportswear and features her brand’s classic quilted zigzag panel technique. Apart from the bright pop of mustard yellow, Lee uses a simple and neutral color palette. A number of corsets were seen, bringing a modern and youthful energy to the runway. This collection is comfortable and wearable, combining baggy tops with shorts or asymmetrical tanks with a long skirt. The closing look is the epitome of this aesthetic, featuring an oversized brown hat with a long bow tie and white shorts. – LUNALEE https://lunaleebylunalee.com/
Dr. Maia is a colorful and cheerful label created by a Japanese neurosurgeon who studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins. This collection is inspired by a familiar problem: opening your closet and wanting to wear everything without making a decision. This inspiration can be immediately recognized from the first look alone, with a thin skirt that uses small skirts as cap sleeves and layered to create a skirt. There were two “outfit” looks where the model walked with arms outstretched, featuring tiny hats hanging from small hangers and rainbow dresses. The closing look is inspired by Dr. Maya’s real closet, which features a circular hanging shelf. She also designs unique rainbow shoes that pair perfectly with every look. The label’s larger-than-life silhouettes and playful aesthetic grace the runway. – Dr. Maaya https://www.dr-maaya-labo.com/
Ay Lelum is a Coast Salish design house from Snuneymuxw First Nation in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Aunalee and Sophia Boyd-Good are a sister design duo from a multi-generational family of artists. This label consistently highlights the beauty and elegance of the Coast Salish culture through beautiful fabrics, vibrant colors and beautiful imagery. Their glittery outerwear and gowns are dressed in muted grays and tans, but also pinks, electric oranges and rich crimsons. The show opened with a fashion film about their label, and the models were introduced to Coast Salish vocals sung by the designers themselves. The closing look was a stunning yellow column gown with a blue capelet. – No, no https://www.aylelum.com/
TheRealB is an India-based luxury fashion label and the brainchild of Binal Patel, who studied at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Her brand emphasizes bold styles through fashion that empowers women. This collection accentuates femininity through flowing silhouettes that gracefully move down the runway. Patel is not afraid of color, using bright reds, pinks and oranges to create vacation-ready maxi dresses and seasonal collections. Check out Four’s electric orange dress that hugs the waist perfectly, with hand-embroidered black flowers scattered across the dress. This collection features two bags handcrafted by Patel using Chatli work techniques: a shimmering silver clutch in five and a rose-embellished bucket bag in seven. – TheRealB https://therealb.in/
