Showcasing the good, the bad and the ugly, ‘Look of the Week’ is a regular series to round up the most talked about outfits of the past seven days.
First they dove in the form of a Carrie Bradshaw-approved clutch bag. Then came the red carpet worthy goldfish dress. Now Northern Ireland designer Jonathan Anderson has joined the latest wave by choosing a new animal to elevate in the name of fashion: frogs.

Debuting on the JW Anderson runway during Milan Fashion Week, the amphibious clogs (in yellow, blue and classic slim green) were created in collaboration with British rain boot manufacturer Wellpets. and Prince William in their youth. Instead of the welliepet’s typical tall boot shape, originally designed for children, JW Anderson’s shorter, slip-on version looks like a mule.

And while one might expect the Rubber Frog closure to be a divisive shoe choice, the reaction on social media has been positive so far. one A viral post on Twitter It garnered over a thousand comments, with many expressing their desire to own a pair.

It was a fun moment in the label’s new collection, which featured a model decked out in tomato-themed tattoos carrying a white pillow, as well as a minimal runway look.

Andersen’s surrealist flare was also embraced at the front of the Milan scene – influencer Hendrik Geissler arrived in a black crew-neck T-shirt pierced with half-open ring-pulling can lids. It was a star-studded audience of Italian celebrities, including White Lotus star Sabrina Impacchitore in a kitschy, sunset-print jumpsuit from the label’s latest collection and “Bones and All” director Luca Guadagnino in a cozy beige zip-up suit.
