KY’s favorite fashion trend

I don’t care if the shoes are ugly. If you are comfortable, wear them everywhere. And I speak from experience. I have a pair of shoes that I consider not cute, but they are my most comfortable pair.

I have the same opinion about clothes. I don’t iron unless I’m going somewhere formal or semi-formal. For one thing, I hate ironing. And my attitude is, “It’s clean, okay?” No, I’m not wearing anything that looks sloppy, but you know what I mean.

But no amount of metal pulling, tugging, pulling, or throwing against a wall will make Crocs uncomfortable. I don’t like them. I have tried. And I see it everywhere, so I know people swear by them. But I am not one of them. Plus, they make my feet sweat, which is tough.

And yes, they are ugly, but I have already explained that it is okay.

And it doesn’t matter to other Kentuckians that I disagree with them. According to a survey from StyleSeat.com, Commonwealth residents seem to have chosen Crocs as their favorite fashion trend.

And Kentuckians are clearly not alone. Our neighbors to the south are big fans and so are many people in the west – and it works; Very low humidity means low foot sweat.

But the neighbors to the north are UGGs and Birkenstocks. Again, this is all about COMFORT. Those two brands aren’t often accused of being attractive to the eye, but most people I know own them…especially Birkenstocks.

who knows? Maybe wear socks with crocs. This person makes them about them and dares.

All I know is that Kentucky winters are very hot. (Thankfully, as I write this we’re enjoying the first day of fall and put all that nonsense behind us.) And that’s when Crocs come in handy.

By the way, here’s how StyleSeat.com did the survey.

We surveyed 1,003 Americans on May 31, 2022. The gender breakdown is 48 percent men, 49 percent women and two percent non-binary. The age gap is 13 percent Baby Boomers, 23 percent Gen X, 45 percent Millennials and 19 percent Gen Z. We researched all 48 fashion and beauty trends on Google to find the unique fashion and beauty trends in each state. 50 states.

To me, that explains everything. Millennials were the majority age group. I’m Gen X and we only represented 23% of respondents. I was not one of them.

And maybe you can’t go near me. I can’t wear flip-flops either; I hate anything between my toes.

No, I’ll just keep wearing my super comfy sneakers that are just as old as they are. They don’t go along with anything, but they never let me down.
