An only child was the star of LA Fashion Week.

Los Angeles Fashion Week kicked off with a beautiful collection by an only child designed by founder and designer Maxwell Osborne.

The show, titled “The Late B-sides Are Coming,” debuted at the Lighthouse Art Space on October 6th in LA, with a host of celebrities in attendance, including Michael B. Jordan, Tyga and Jessie Williams.

The show was a continuation of the brand’s New York Fashion Week experience, where they showcased their signature key looks and silk shirts and a variety of fabrics. However, this time, the show included versions of the collection created with new images and colors for the West Coast.

Those new styles, silhouettes and color ways are emerald velvet track suit, black cotton satin, viscose lace for evening wear and white lace paired with white silk wool work pants.

All the clothes on the runway were made from stone waste. It’s only one child’s signature when they create each collection. Highlighting important company sustainability behavior.

Ethos also offers a unique individuality in each garment, as each garment cannot be exactly reproduced due to the limited quantity of the said ghost fabric.

For Osborne and One Child, this is a huge advantage because “each of our clothes captures the soul of their fabric’s previous life to create something unique, one-of-a-kind and one-of-a-kind.”

When asked to explain the inspiration for the collection, Osborne spoke about “the essence of summer nights… the moment you see the eyes of that person you’ve been dreaming about from afar, and your bodies finally meet.”

The show immersed the audience in a giant light space where the brand’s famous Rastafarian fabric bottles were scattered across the walls. Additionally, the brand used non-traditional seating such as antique sofas to give the space a more homely feel than you’d find at other fashion shows.

This LA Fashion Week opening show kicked off the week strong and showcased what LA fashion has to offer.
