Linus TechTips, a PC expert and content creator, stated during a Tech Review that he was “extremely skeptical” of Starforge Systems’ existence.

As the most viewed tech-centric YouTube channel on the scene, Linus Sebastian and the team at Linus Tech Tips certainly know the ins and outs of PC building and manufacturing.

As a highly profitable industry, it’s no surprise that companies like influencer owner Starforge Systems are eager to jump into the field with expensive pre-built systems for sale.

Now, Sebastian has reviewed Horizon Creator Edition PC from the company; He said he was “very skeptical” of the company’s existence at this point.

Linus Tech Tips Reviews Starforge Systems PC

Sebastian opened the review by saying that while the system architecture business looks very attractive from the outside, there are many difficulties in setting up a company around it.

The tech YouTuber went on to say that those problems, combined with the fact that Starforge Systems is owned by “a collection of Twitch streamers with no obvious business acumen,” led him to think the company was “on the brink of collapse.”

For those who don’t know, Starforge Systems is owned by members of OTK Media and popular content creator Charlie “MoistCr1TiKal” White.

Unfortunately, the launch of Starforge Systems was mired in controversy, such as many fans claiming that PC builds were overrated and OTK permanently banning critics from live streams.

So, Sebastian ordered a review of the $3,500 Horizon Creators Edition PC so he didn’t get any special treatment beforehand.

While the team noticed some minor and minor hiccups during the setup process, the performance testing proved impressive.

However, Sebastian took the $3,500 PC price idea even more seriously. Specifically, Sebastian’s team was able to build a PC with the same specs that cost around $1,000.

In fact, YouTube Tech has acknowledged the convenience of buying a pre-built PC compared to DIY construction.

Sebastion concluded the review by saying, “I don’t know if I would wholeheartedly recommend it,” and advised viewers to wait to see if “they’re still around in six months,” saying that the company seems to be the same as buying a Starforge system build. As good an option as any SI on the market.
