Mercy Health – Lorain is expanding its care options for the Vermilion community with additional services offered at 1605 State Road.
For years, this location has been Mercy Health-Vermilion’s primary care location, but patients now receive a variety of specialty care, according to a news release.
Mercy Health – Vermilion Behavioral Health says it is open to providing comprehensive psychological care for people with mental or behavioral health issues.
Dr. Elizabeth Franz, a highly trained and dedicated psychologist with more than 14 years of behavioral health practice, will see patients at the new clinic on Fridays, according to the release.

Other services currently available at Mercy Health’s Vermilion site include orthopedics, sports medicine, and outpatient rehabilitation and therapy, according to the release.
“We want to connect people with the services they need, so it only makes sense to add specialty care options to our primary care location in Vermilion,” said Tyson Ringle, vice president of Mercy Health Physicians. “The goal is to continue Mercy Health’s legacy of providing quality and compassionate care while expanding its reach by providing a close-to-home team of knowledgeable and compassionate providers who can meet all of their healthcare needs.”
Mercy Health – Vermilion offers outpatient rehabilitation and therapy as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for all ages.
Sports medicine treatment will be provided to local athletes in the community to help them improve their fitness, recover from injuries and stay active.
