Columbus, Ga. (WTVM) – Frequent business break-ins in downtown Columbus are starting to cost the owners money.
Carolyn Freeman, owner of Simply Carol’s hair salon, said they are dealing with vandals who hit her business four weeks ago.
Freeman began with derogatory words painted on walls. She said this was her first time in the building in six years.
Carolyn Freeman The devastation started with broken windows. The business next door had their windows smashed first, and a week later, the back window was smashed.

These thugs not only broke windows but also painted obscene pictures and sprayed them on all the three nearby businesses. I spoke to another business owner who did not want to be identified. But anyone who does this should be ashamed, she says.
