A fashion show inspired by Egyptian civilization
of A fashion show was held for Stefano Ricci’s latest designs, Mohammed Abdel Badi of the Central Administration of Antiquities of Upper Egypt told Al Watan newspaper.
Badi says the show is inspired by Egyptian civilization, with the golden color of pharaonic rooms decorated with gold, the inscriptions of temples and the blue color of the Nile.
Models emerge from the sides of the impressive temple, adding to catwalks among the statues of Queen Hatshepsut in the body of Osiria.
The ceremony concluded with opera melodies by Italian multi-instrumentalist Andrea Bocelli.
Stefano Ricci then greeted the audience and thanked the Egyptian government for the warm welcome and the loud applause that made the event possible.
“More than 1,000 guests from all over the world were present on more than 30 chartered planes that landed at Luxor Airport for the occasion,” said Badi.
The show culminated the government’s efforts to promote cultural tourism, which was celebrated with a parade of royal mummies followed by the opening of Rams Road in 2021, he said.
The festival continues on Monday with a visit to Habu Temple and several archaeological tombs in the Valley of the Kings, including the tomb of the gold pharaoh Tutankhamun and Nefertari.
