Yes, what is it?
In the year Founded in 2018 by Julie Bornstein and Amit Aggarwal, Aoun has built an AI-powered personalized shopping feed that learns consumers’ preferences when shopping hundreds of fashion e-commerce sites. The website was powered by human input and machine intelligence for a wide range of merchandise and fashion taxonomy. Focused mostly on women’s fashion, Yes is designed for individuals who actively search and shop online, helping them build a highly personalized feed by clicking Yes or No to the app’s suggestions.
The purchase comes as Pinterest (find more over here) is trying to navigate the shift in how people shop online. Thanks to Yes, Pinterest users can find more things that match their style, and the algorithm learns as they browse. While details of the deal were not disclosed, representatives said the acquisition will help Pinterest create a new strategic organization that will help drive the company’s marketing efforts.
‘Yes Team are experts in building the end-to-end shopping experience. They share our vision of making it easy to find the right products tailored for you based on your taste and style. We’re excited about YES’ talented team and technology as we build dedicated shopping experiences on Pinterest.’ Pinterest co-founder and CEO Ben Silberman shares.
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of marketing, fashion and technology, and I’ve seen first-hand the value of building technology that allows brands to easily join platforms and share their preferences with their customers. Joining forces with Pinterest to expand our reach using such an inspiring platform is exciting and the next step for our team and technology.’ She quoted Julie Bornstein, founder and CEO of YES.
