Michael Kleinschmidt, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, DPLA

Reading Hospital has announced the appointment of Michael Kleinschmidt, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, DPLA, as Vice President of Operations, effective immediately.

In this role, he will have particular focus on McGlynn Cancer Center and Oncology Services, Central Transportation, Patient and Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, 340b Program Expansion, Environmental Services, Safety and Biomedical Engineering. He will report to Michelle Troup, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Reading Hospital.

Dr. Kleinschmidt joined Reading Hospital and Tower Health Group in November 2018 when he became the hospital’s director of pharmacy. Since then, he has taken on a series of increasing responsibilities, most recently as Senior Director of Support Services. He has served as a leader on several hospital committees, including our Clinical Advisory Committee and Medication Safety Committee, which he chairs.

He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and a Master of Business Administration – Health Care Administration from West Texas A&M University.
