SS23 Fashion Trend Spotlight: Underwear as Day Wear

With the return of IRL shows and events, the Spring/Summer 2023 edition of Fashion Week was packed with moments from the opening at Balochistan to Bella Hadid’s body-splitting gown. Throughout the month, we’ve noticed a variety of current and upcoming fashion trends, highlighting them in our latest Trend Spotlight series.

This season, Kylie Jenner proved that underwear can be printed as daywear, wearing logo briefs and a tank top with black tights and a gray coat at the Loewe SS23 presentation. The look, previously endorsed by Doja Cat, was also spotted on Bella Hadid as she munched on a slice of pizza in boxer shorts on the streets of New York City. Elsehwere, Julia Fox appeared in Milan with an elevated version of the trend, with a leather coat worn with a chain top and bottom.

In addition to celebrities, we noticed trends on the runways, including presentations by AMBUSH, Givenchy and Ottolinger.
