Billionaire Warren Buffett is auctioning off a high-tech autographed portrait of himself for charity.
Bidding has already topped $30,000.
The auction began earlier this week and is open until August 30, Buffett’s 92nd birthday.
The image of Buffett, created by Motiva Art, features a grid of letters that light up to list famous quotes from several famous investors.
Warren Buffett’s last charity lunch set an eBay record.
Proceeds go to Girls Inc., which provides educational, cultural and recreational programs for young women in Buffett’s hometown.
The nonprofit has also benefited from many other items the investor has auctioned off over the years.
Before the pandemic, Buffett had been auctioning off private lunches every year for 20 years, regularly raising millions for charity.

A June luncheon auction that raised $19 million for the California-based Glide Foundation, which helps the homeless in San Francisco, attracted such astronomical winning bids that Buffett said this year would be his last.

Buffett once sold an old wallet containing stock tips and raised $210,000 for the company. And in 2015, someone paid more than $122,000 for Buffett’s 2006 Cadillac with a dash on it.
