President Joe Biden, the last legitimate president since Barack Obama, announced on August 24 that he is canceling $10,000 in federal student loan debt for people with incomes below $125,000 or households making less than $250,000. It is waiving an additional $10,000 for those who receive a federal Pell Grant to attend college.
By the way, the federal Pell Grant helps undergraduates from low-income families. It was originally known as the Basic Educational Opportunity Grant when it was created in 1972 and was renamed in 1980 to honor Democratic U.S. Senator Senator Claiborne Peele of Rhode Island.

CNBC reported on June 17 that the Brookings Institution found that since graduating from college, blacks owe an average of $7,400 more than their white counterparts. And after four years, blacks owe an average of $52,726 compared to just $28,006 for whites.
On July 22, well-progressive and shockingly, Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren told the Student Advocacy Organization that “for too long, black and brown borrowers have been disproportionately impacted[in America’s]broken student loan system.
And as New York Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer and NACP President Derek Johnson wrote in a February 28 joint BET op-ed: “For black Americans, the burden of student debt is especially heavy. They are more likely to take out other federal student loans to begin with, and on average, about half default within 12 years. Debt repayment is also often impossible: While the median white borrower pays off only 6 percent of their debt 20 years after starting college, the median black borrower has 95 percent of their debt over the same period. This difference is unacceptable. It’s not American,” he said.
Schumer and Johnson then asked Biden to “cancel up to $50,000 in federal student loan debt.” Although it unfortunately doesn’t go as far as it should in getting your reasonable request answered, it’s a big step forward. And, hopefully, it’s the first of many steps.
There is much to be done by Biden, his administration, Congress, state legislatures, city councils, and especially private industry to achieve the kind of racial economic equality that can only be achieved through equity.

And the biggest hypocrites/enemies are Congressmen Vern Buchanan ($2.3 million), Markwayne Mullin ($1.4 million), Kevin Hearn ($1 million), Mike Kelly ($987,237), Matt Gaetz ($482,321) and Marjorie Taylor Green ($183,504). ) include
I should mention that renegade former President Donald Trump has six bankruptcies throughout his business career and currently owes at least $1.3 billion (that’s billion with an ab) in unpaid debt.
I guess those pseudo-Christian members of Congress missed the part of their own scriptures in Matthew 7:5 that says, “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye.” Then you will see clearly to remove the mote from your brother’s (or sister’s) eye. Or in simple words: “First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see carefully to take out the mote from your brother’s eye, you hypocrite!”
Because America was and is racist, blacks have never been treated fairly (or even equally) in this country’s education system from elementary school to graduate school. In the year A motion to dismiss filed by defendant Shawnee County, Kansas Unified School District No. 501 is granted. This landmark case was dismissed primarily because, as the court wrote in its opinion, “the defendant has announced his continued commitment to diversity and intolerance of discrimination.”

Blacks consistently do not get the high-paying jobs they deserve because of the lack of equal/fair education from elementary through graduate school. So it’s clear that blacks are unable to pay off their school loans at the same rate as whites, many of whom are less qualified but more connected.
As a wise man once said, “It’s not what you know. Who do you know” and as I say now, “White America knows whites are white and blacks are black and treats them both as such. History and current conditions confirm.
Oh, before I forget. I must remind you that black students in high school must be enrolled at an HBCU. And I have to remind you that black students at predominantly white institutions should transfer to HBCUs.
And among the thousands there are three important reasons:
One: HBCU tuition is much lower than PWI tuition, which means you won’t have to pay as much when you graduate.
Two: HBCUs have produced the following high-paying (and socially stimulating) positions.
- 80 percent black judges
- 70 percent black doctors and black dentists
- 60 percent of blacks with engineering degrees
- Black lawyers and black teachers 50 percent
- 40 percent of black health professionals, STEM degree holders and black members of Congress
Three: HBCUs are black. time.
