With fall camp in full swing and less than 25 days until the start, the Virginia Tech football program is set to hold its annual Fan Day for the team on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 14, at Beemer-Lawson’s home practice against Hockey Nation.

Football Fan Day presented by Virginia529 is a free event where fans can meet Tech players and coaches while enjoying interactive contests, family-friendly music, sponsor booths, the Hockeybirds and Spirit Squads and more.

In conjunction with the start of football season, Virginia529 and Virginia Tech Athletics are offering a chance to win four season tickets and a season-long parking pass as a Family 4-Pack Sweepstakes. Fill out the entry form A chance to win!

Get ready for this year’s edition with five things about Sunday’s event:

1. Doors open at 1pm ET for current Hockey Kids Club Maroon Level members and 15 minutes later to the public. All Maroon level members of the Hockey Kids Club can access Fan Day early at 1:00 p.m. through Gate 7 nearby. RSVPs should visit the check-in desk outside the Special Kids Club to pick up their membership packet. Entry until 2 pm

Hockey Kids Club memberships are still available for the coming year. Check out a membership for the young hockey fan in your life before Friday, August 18th and receive a complimentary ticket to a Tech football home game this fall.

2. Free parking is available in designated campus locations. Parking is available in Lot 1 across from Cassell Coliseum at the football field, Lot 3 (on Sterrett Drive across from the VT Police Station) and Lot 5 (Chicken Hill).

3. Fans can purchase “skip the line” passes to go to the front of the autograph lines. Returning for Fan Day 2022, fans will want to skip the line and quickly get autographs from their favorite coaches or student-athletes. Skip their line and buy For $20. The deadline to purchase a pass is Thursday, August 11.

4. Free 2022 Tech football posters and schedule cards will be available for pickup. Fans will get a first look at the 2022 football poster and can pick up a copy signed by football student-athletes and/or coaches. Only one (1) item is allowed per person and Sharpies will be issued to all student-athletes and coaches.

5. Illustrations will be limited to one spirit per person. Outdoor fan spirit items are allowed at this year’s event. Only one (1) item can be signed per person per autograph station. Additionally, student-athletes and coaches reserve the right to refuse to autograph any item for any reason, especially items that appear to be created for sale for profit. No photography is allowed.
