After an inspiring trip to Peru, designer Catherine Carnevale left her corporate job as Executive Director of Knitwear at Club Monaco to found Eleven Six with her husband, Nick. Currently, the Midtown Kingston-based brand offers women’s and men’s knitwear made sustainably from natural fibers by artisans in Peru. In addition to their online store, they also have a concept store in the basement of the historic Fuller Building in Midtown Kingston, open by appointment Monday through Saturday. MaryVaughn Williams has carried utility canvas products for years at Hudson Clothier, an American-made boutique. Canvas + Clothier, a “microstore” located in a historic 19th-century department store in Poughkeepsie, brings the two collaborations full circle. The store offers locally produced and sustainably produced clothing, accessories, jewelry, bedding, pillows and home textiles. At Zephyr in downtown Rhinebeck, Caitlin Millard offers high-end artisans from international and local brands to create her own glamorous collection, including bias-cut dresses in natural fabrics such as silk, linen, cotton and wool.
