Star forward Paul George, who has struggled with injuries during his time with the LA Clippers, hasn’t always had a full season to work on his game. During a recent question-and-answer session at the KIA Forum, George revealed that he feels good, and hasn’t taken much time off this summer.
“I haven’t wasted any time this summer except getting married,” said George. “Every week I’m just beating the clock, beating the time sheet. I want to get better, I want to stay in shape. I’ve worked a ton on my body, I’ve been working a ton on my game, I’m healthy going in. Season.”
With a healthy Paul George and possibly a healthy Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers expect to compete in the Western Conference. Injuries have plagued the team over the past three seasons, but if they can avoid prolonged absences from their top talent, there are few if any better teams to win it all.

George took a break from basketball this summer for his wedding, realizing he didn’t always have the chance to take advantage of a full season. Before and after that holiday, George was in the gym working on his game. For the Clippers and their fans, that’s fun to hear, and maybe even more fun to watch in a few weeks.
