The Maine Small Business Development Centers, a statewide program that helps entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses, has announced the development of small business resources, now available in English, French and Somali, according to a Portland-based news release.

Two helpful guides are available free of charge in English, French and Somali.

The “Guide to Starting a Business in Maine” helps entrepreneurs understand how to start a small business in Maine. The guide answers questions about choosing a business entity, getting financing, registering your business, getting insurance, choosing a name, reporting taxes, and more.

“Guide to Writing a Business Plan” provides a step-by-step guide for entrepreneurs on how to write a business plan. It highlights the important parts and gives useful tips and tricks for each part.

“Maine SBDC has supported thousands of entrepreneurs and small business owners from all backgrounds. Making resources easier to access is a top priority as we work to break down the barriers that prevent someone from getting the tools to start and run their small business,” commented Maine SBDC State Director Mark DeLille. .

Entrepreneurs can find these resources at mainesbdc.org.
