The Alabama Crimson Tide travel to Fayetteville this weekend for their second conference game against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas is ranked No. 20 in the nation and is 3-1 on the year with its lone loss coming to the Texas A&M Aggies. On the other hand, Alabama is undefeated and is currently ranked 2nd behind the Georgia Bulldogs.

The show enters the matchup with Arkansas on a 14-game winning streak and Nick Saban has never lost to the Hogs in his tenure in Tuscaloosa. However, the Razorbacks gave it all they could to advance in 2021, but in the end Alabama outlasted Alabama 42-25.

Here are five reasons why the Tide can walk away from Fayetteville with a win this weekend.

Alabama’s rushing defense has been great to start the 2022 season, as they only give up 1.8 yards per carry. The Tide faced the best running back in the country in Texas’ Bijan Robinson, and they held him to 57 yards on 21 carries. If Arkansas can’t find their rushing attack, it could be a long afternoon for them.

Bryce Young has shown time and time again that you can lean on him when the going gets tough. In the year Whether it’s Auburn in 2021, Texas in 2022, Young always finds a way to win and that’s an incredible power to have. Regardless of the outcome or situation, as long as the 9 is in the game, Alabama has a shot.

Will Anderson is warming up.

Will Anderson is starting to find his 2021 form last week when he posted 2.5 sacks against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Anderson could be the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and his play the rest of the way will be key to the Tide’s success.

Wide receivers are increasing

One of the few concerns Alabama faces in the first few weeks is its receiving core. Despite the talent all over the field, no one could step up and play until Jacory Brooks switched in Week 4.

Arkansas’ pass defense has struggled to start the 2022 season. They are currently ranked 126th out of 131 qualified teams. If Bryce Young gets hot and finds his receivers, the Hogs could be ready to fry.
