It’s all about health… or is it?
October 2, 2022
During a roundtable discussion about the Chiefs-Bucs game last week, one man who has covered the four-letter NFL for years said the Bucs can’t hit the panic button.
The Bucs offense was about as frustrating as a Bucs offense gets. This worries John because quarterback Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback ever to walk on an NFL field.
The offense doesn’t have to match Brady’s quarterback like Dilfair. There is something.
Joe saw BSPN NFL reporter Dan Graziano at the Licht House for the Packers-Bucks game last week. And Graziano seems to have some upside with the Bucs to get some intel.
Speaking on “First Dump” last week, Graziano said that even though the Bucs’ offense has held them under 20 points in every game this season, no one is in a Bucs castle. He is threatening..
Christmas.
“They believe that once they get everybody healthy, they’re going to be good,” Graziano said. “You don’t see any decline in Brady’s performance and Brady’s abilities.”
It helps. But let’s be real here: The Bucs had Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Julio Jones healthy in the first half of the Cowboys game. The Bussies had just four field goals at halftime.
This offense is sputtering and Joe can’t quite put his finger on it. Did he really cause that much of a stir on the offensive line? Is Playef Lenny slipping away before our eyes?
Was Bucs coach Todd Bowles too tough with the offense? Does Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich miss former Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bruce Arians? Will Brady miss Rob Gronkowski’s foot rub?
(For those who love conspiracy theories and connecting the dots that may or may not exist, consider that Gronk’s girlfriend, the model and television personality Camille Kostek, is doing a promotion for the NFL’s social media project aimed at women. she is wearing Gronk Bucks jersey.)
There is something strange about this disaster. And Joe isn’t entirely sure it’s Godwin because Godwin and Julio are hurt.
