Plates – Andres Martin And Marcus McDaniel Georgia Tech men’s tennis is set to represent the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. Tech will begin Monday, Oct. 3 with singles qualifying.
In the ITA Preseason Rankings, Martin is ranked No. 20 and McDaniel is No. 97. In doubles pairings, the two Jackets are ranked an impressive No. 17.
McDaniels will battle for the singles spot on Monday in the qualifiers. He will face Haoyuan Huang of Rice University in his first match at 11 a.m. After earning a spot in the ITA preseason rankings 20, Martin avoided the qualifying round and will begin the main draw singles on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
The nationally ranked doubles will also compete in the main draw doubles tournament. The two will start the doubleheader on Wednesday and their match details will be announced after the qualifiers are over.
