October 21-23, is scheduled for FAB Passion Fashion Week in New England, USA. This year marks the third edition of this fashion week, curated by Trinidadian-born New England resident Richie Richardson. This premier fashion week is dedicated to three days of international, local and regional fashion.

FAB Passion Fashion Week (FPFW) creates unique opportunities for cultural exchange

and a new relationship between local, regional and international fashion professionals. The Honorable André La Veuw, Consul General of Trinidad and Tobago in New York, supported the initiative and facilitated networking to strengthen the authenticity of the event.

Richie Richardson is a fashion/graphic designer who pushes the agenda of ethnic, modern fashion and encourages the cross-pollination of contemporary and fashion genres, similar to the influence of world show music that took the world by storm. To create this addition to New England’s tourism attraction, they teamed up with Richard Young, a lover of Caribbean beauty and regional fashionista, serving as creative director and Brooklyn Fashion Week producer Jerry Jordan as cast director.

CAFD Student of the Year presentation

Designers from Trinidad slated to feature include The Fabric, Zad & Eastman, ID Indigenous Designs by Dominique La Roche, Elizabeth Francis Cristic Clothing, Kavir Mutu’s Recycled Wearable Art and this year’s Caribbean Academy of Fashion Design (CAFD) Student of the Year. ), at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, Cornelius Hector.
