Famous business speaker to conduct workshops for students, community – Newstalk KZRG

The popular speaker, podcast host, entrepreneur and contributor to national publications will be in Pittsburgh on Wednesday and Thursday, “Five Tips for Networking Success: A Coffee Lunch Coffee Presentation” twice: once to the community and once to students on campus.

Next Thursday, Alana Muller, author of the book, Coffee Lunch Coffee: A Practical Field Guide for Teacher Networking, At noon, he will have lunch with the Kelsey Student Leadership Council at Pittsburgh State University, and at 3:30 p.m., he will lead a workshop for a select group of business students in the Governors Room of the Overman Student Center, including four classes of MGT 210. Kelce RSOs, and graduate assistants.

“It is my hope that we can make this an annual or semester-based networking event for KCOB students, especially those enrolled in business professionalism,” said Chelsea Decker, director of graduate business programs at KCOB and event coordinator.

Decker’s students are reading Mueller’s book this semester, which prompted the idea to invite her to Pittsburgh for two days of networking lunches and workshops.

“It’s been a huge help with community event planning,” said Dasia Clark, assistant director of the Small Business Development Center at Block22 downtown.

That event will be held Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 pm in the Foundry Conference Room at Block22, 402 N. Broadway and is open to the public. Registration is $10, including refreshments and childcare. Email dclark@pittstate.edu to register
