As the massive $8 billion project at LaGuardia Airport nears completion, the Port Authority and Clear Channel unveiled new world-class digital media infrastructure in Terminal B and Terminal C.
“Creating a world-class airport requires state-of-the-art technology, and that’s what Clear Channel has delivered by investing in state-of-the-art digital technology throughout our facilities,” said Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton. “Spacious interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows, inspiring public art, popular restaurants and shops, and Clear Channel’s extraordinary digital displays all meet the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s new airport criteria: award-winning, best-in-class amenities worthy of the region.”
The new all-digital displays in Terminal C include two 50-foot-wide front-facing, 90-degree LED soffits, the first digital property Clear Channel has installed in an airport. At 43 feet wide at eye level, the video wall is one of the largest of its kind.
“The new digital media infrastructure being deployed at our facilities aligns with the agency’s transformational efforts across the region,” said Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. Updating our advertising platforms is another step in the Port Authority’s broader efforts to provide our customers with a world-class, 21st century travel experience.
The program consists of six large LED displays placed in keyed areas. Two heads of large-format video walls when travelers go down to baggage claim; and a 75-inch ultra-high-definition display network on the arrivals floor. Clear Channel will bring its entire digital media program to JFK Airport later this year.

“The new Lagadia Terminal C digital media network is integrated into the stunning terminal design and is positioned and sized for maximum impact. Unique new 90-degree digital viewing angles are perfect for displaying anamorphic content as well as being among the best media in the region.”
In total, the new media network at LaGuardia Terminal C alone is nearly 2,000 square feet of digital signage, much of it in the front or upper seating areas as other new concourses open.
