Posted on August 15, 2022 in Latest Department News, Newsroom
Honolulu – Pacific Tech 2022 (formerly known as the Hawaii SBR Conference) is taking place in Honolulu. This updated, annual event brings together Pacific region technology and engineering organizations/companies with government customers, investors, prime contractors, federal SBIR/STTR program representatives and other supporting government agencies. Innovative technology companies will have the opportunity to meet potential clients/customers and learn about US seed funding (SBIR/STTR programs) as well as new funding and technology commercialization opportunities.
The Hawaii Convention Center is home to this year’s conference from October 24-26, 2022. More than 150 participants from the Pacific region and West Coast, as well as federal agency representatives, are expected.
This year’s title sponsor is Decisive Point, an organization investing in deep technology innovations for security, health, energy and infrastructure. The mission of the tipping point is to solve critical critical problems, support mission-driven startups, and increase investment through public R&D funding.
This is a unique opportunity for Pacific region technology and engineering companies, particularly small businesses, to provide new and innovative technology solutions to government challenges that cannot be addressed internally. Hawaii’s geographic location makes it a vital part of US military strategic operations, and the ever-increasing military presence in the islands provides an opportunity for the community and various military branches to discuss partnerships.
This event will feature speakers from government entities looking for innovative solutions, prime contractors looking for prime contractors, and innovative funders looking to accelerate the pace of solving government problems with small business solutions. Speakers included Dr. George Cailleway III, Director, Requirements and Resources (J8), Headquarters, US Indo-Pacific Command (HQ USINDOPACOM), Dr. Martin Lindsey, USINDOPACOM Science and Technology Advisor, Science Advisors, and a variety of SBIR program managers are included. Federal agencies.
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in:
- Tech show and demonstration events
- Information sessions
- Panel discussions
- Network reception
