Just call her budget chic.
Martha Stewart surprised her affordable fans over the weekend by posting an Instagram photo of herself in a glittering gold lounge by fast fashion retailer Fashion Nova — and her followers were mixed on the choice.
Dressed in a sparkly dress with matching pants, the cookbook author kept her shades on during a visit to Las Vegas to celebrate the launch of Martha Stewart’s first restaurant, The Bedford.
To top off the ensemble, she added some luxe accessories to her casual look, opting for sparkling Simon Miller “Bubble” clogs ($425) and shoulder-grazing earrings by Brunello Cucinelli ($1,795).

In a second photo, Stewart is standing next to a golf cart holding a glittery gold crossbody bag, writing, “@fashionnova splashed on a couple of funky outfits in gorgeous yet inexpensive gold. Wearing @brunellocucinelli_brand earrings and @simonmillerusa clogs. As for @thebedfordbymarthastewart, it’s the perfect lunch for journalists.
Chrissy Tiegen, in one, talked about the lifestyle guru’s style switch. “MARTHA X FASHION NOVA PLEASE GOD,” she commented.
“I know Martha is a cultural reset for fashion nova,” one fan added, while another added, “Nothing beats comfort and style!!! Martha at a party!!!”
Others weren’t too sure about the outfit, as one fan said, “Who put this woman in Fashionnova. Present yourselves immediately, and another, “Martha . . .”

Others resent the typically high-profile entrepreneur because they promote fast fashion. “No, you don’t get a passport to wear FashionNova,” one follower commented. “This is a serious mistake.”
Another added: “Martha disappoints me in fast fashion. “They are destroying our planet!!!”
It wasn’t the first time Stewart looked sparkly in recent days for her bargain collection; She wore a similar metallic salon look in the August 4 post, which left fans wondering if she forgot her pants.
The restaurateur rocked gold sequined pants and a coordinating sequin blazer for photographer Douglas Friedman’s 50th birthday bash at her restaurant on Saturday.

The fashion fun didn’t end there; Stewart wore a feather-trimmed frock by Valentino to the Bedford opening on Friday — and while the designer look is currently on sale for $4,493, it’s certainly a far cry from the bargain dud she wore earlier.
Stewart joins Snoop Dogg in a toast at her restaurant. “Partner in wine” he wrote on Instagram, referring to his collaboration with the wine brand 19 Crimes.
While the internet may be divided over Martha’s fashion nova vibe, we can all raise a glass to her Vegas success.
