College football fans are a little worried for Lee Corso this season.
The longtime College GameDay analyst is a mainstay on ESPN’s pregame show. However, some viral clips showed the famous college football commentator struggling on television.
Although the Corso is said to be doing well in terms of health.
According to ESPN College GameDay host Reece Davis, Corso is still incredibly sharp.
“He’s doing great … at 87, his mind is still sharp,” Davis said.
College football fans have taken to social media to weigh in.
One fan wrote: “I fully understand that the environment affects the communication aspect, I understand, but Corso has struggled in recent years and Herbie needs to translate what he says.
“Watching him wrestle on live TV in Week 0 was so sad. Keep him in the pre-recorded episodes. This honors his commitment to saving face,” added one fan.
“A lot of the comments on this continue to be bad for Coach. You can also have an incredibly strong mind and still have speech impediments,” one fan added.
“Stop the copy. It’s time for Corso to retire. I love the man, but it’s painful to watch these last few years,” admitted another fan.
