ALEXANDRIA, VA – “The West End is the Best End” is the theme of the new photo contest open to amateurs and professionals who want to showcase the best pictures of the West End of Alexandria. The first place prize will pay $1,000, while the second and third place winners will receive $500 and $250 respectively.

The competition celebrates “70 Years of the West End” and was a hot topic in the room when business owners and city leaders gathered recently on Thursday, August 25 at the award-winning Taqueria Picoso restaurant located at 1472 N Beauregard Street.

Vice Mayor Amy Jackson, James Lewis and Mary Ann Burstein, WEBA President.

“Take your best photo of Alexandria’s West End and submit it,” said WEBA Vice President Paul Friedman. It’s that simple. To do that, visit alexandriaweba.org/photo-contest to submit your photo, or post it on social media with the hashtag #AlexWestEndBestEnd.
