The Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute today announced the launch of a new initiative to improve access to its graduate programs and meet growing market demand. Under the initiative, fees for certain programs are being reduced and reduced. These changes are part of a larger effort under WPI’s 2021-2026 strategic plan, “Leading with Purpose,” which addresses accessibility and affordability to support a thriving community of diverse learners and practitioners.

“In this increasingly competitive business world, STEM professionals with strong business acumen and management skills are essential,” said the Rev. Dr. Deborah Jackson, dean of the WPI School of Business.

Data from Future work survey In the year According to the 2020 World Economic Forum, the top 20 growing careers in 2020 require a mix of technology and business skills. These roles include data analysts and scientists, business development professionals and fintech engineers. Additionally, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects growth of 11 percent by 2030.

“This initiative will allow more students to access our graduate programs, get a faster return on their investment, and better placement,” Jackson added.

Among its graduate programs, the business school offers master’s degrees in business administration (MBA), and business analytics, in user experience innovation, information technology, and operations and supply chain analytics.

A leader in STEM education and research, WPI recognizes that technology and business are inextricably linked. And as a business school home to engineers and scientists, WPI is preparing students with the management skills they need to become leaders in their fields and take tomorrow’s innovations to market.

The new tuition fees are currently in effect and will also apply to existing students. It also applies to current students.
