M.T. HEAVENLY, Ohio (WXIX) – Two people are dead after a SWAT team was dispatched to an apartment complex Sunday afternoon, HEAVEN Chief Vincent DeMasi confirmed.
The two dead are a 6-year-old girl and her father, who is in his 40s, DeMasi said.
DeMasi said police were called to the Lake of the Woods apartments for a disturbance in custody when they heard shots fired from inside the home.
According to DeMasi, a SWAT team was dispatched to the scene to try to communicate with those inside the apartment, who were treated as hostages.
FOX19 confirmed Mt. Several law enforcement agencies are on the scene, including Healthy Police, North College Hill Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
The Health Police Department is conducting the investigation.
