WAXED, located at 434 William Street, is a full body waxing and lash extension company that recently opened downtown.
“From Brazilians to back, chest, eyebrow shaping, we do full body waxing. We also do eyebrow extensions, eyelash lifts, tints, eyebrow tints. said Mindy Day, owner.
Day, of Williamsport, decided to start the business after seeing the interest in the community.
“I did some research and found that there is no one who specializes in wax making. Downtown Williamsport is coming up, there’s a lot happening here. So we went for it.” Day said. “I really wanted to be in this area. I wanted to be downtown.
WAXED has specialists trained and certified for each service.
“Aundrea, she’s been making lashes for years now. She’s good at waxing on the face and she’s proven with eyelashes. Day said.
“Jane is a full body wax expert. Jane makes Brazilian wax. That’s intimate service. So she had special training.
The store offers a selection of locally made accessories.
“Everything there is made by local women artisans. I am passionate about female entrepreneurs. This is the perfect opportunity for them to show off some of their wares. Day said.
“I love it. Like the First Friday traffic. People walking by and waving. Just being part of the energy and the world here is so rewarding.” Day said.

“The best thing is that you can register your own service.” Day said. “So there’s a book now through Facebook and Instagram. So now you can literally book. You can be in bed at 12 o’clock, like oh, I want to wax my eyebrows. Click book now and make an appointment. I would say 95% of our customers own their own space. People love the luxury of being able to do it themselves.
