Alaska health officials say a Juneau woman in her 30s has died of Covid-19. It is not clear when she died.
The state reported 21 new deaths among Alaskans overall. One was in February this year and the others were from May to July.
During the outbreak, 22 Juneau residents died of Covid-19.
The state reported 63 cases of COVID-19 among residents and visitors to the city last week in Juneau. That’s down 44% from a week ago, when there were 112 cases. The counts do not include positive results from home tests.
2,553 cases have been reported in the state. That includes 686 non-resident cases – 329 of which were on tourism-related cruise ships.
Statewide, 65 people with Covid-19 are in hospital, and one is on a ventilator. One person is being treated for a covid-19 infection at Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau.
Covid-19 vaccines are available to anyone 6 months of age or older. Juneau Public Health offers vaccination clinics on Wednesdays and Fridays.
