Arkansas lined up for a field goal

Arkansas lost in absolute brutality to Texas A&M 23-21 on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Down 23-14, the Razorbacks scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to make it 23-21. The Aggies began a drive in response, but missed a 53-yard punt that gave the Hogs great field position. Arkansas drove down to the 16 and looked to be in position to lead by a field goal, but it didn’t go as planned.

Arkansas dropped to 25 after nine losses. They made a 42 yard field goal with 1:30 left.

In a twist we’ve never seen before, Cam Little’s shot hit the top of the right field and bounced back onto the field.

We’re not saying it hit the top of the upright. No, Little’s shot sailed over the top of the uprights, then landed over the top and bounced back onto the field.

There was a bit of disbelief after the hit, and so were Arkansas fans. It was a decoy shot that actually killed him, that’s just not what he wanted.

That would go down after a 3-0 start as Arkansas suffered its first loss of the season. What a tough way to lose.
