Brave Automation partners with Tech, Collins Aerospace and the University of San Diego to offer a “Girl Meets Additive Manufacturing” camp for high school students.

San Diego — (Business Wire–Intrepid Automation, a provider of next-generation industrial manufacturing solutions, today announced a new partnership with Great Tech (GTT), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on introducing girls and underserved youth to STEM and business. Free 4-day summer camp at the University of San Diego.

Open to San Diego high school students, the “Girl Meets Additive Manufacturing” program introduces participants to additive manufacturing techniques, 3D printing technology and the fundamentals of industrial manufacturing engineering.

“We hope to see what students have to offer and inspire interest in manufacturing as a career,” said Maddie Stadtmuller, senior chemical applications engineer at Intrepid Automation.

“Near and dear to my heart is the intentionality to open doors to STEM and entrepreneurship for young women of color,” said Stan Kottke, vice president and general manager of Aerostructures for Collins Aerospace. “Collins Aerospace looks forward to continuing to create ways like this to promote and develop our future workforce.”
