Brian Moore knows exactly what he wants next.
The Bellator bantamweight is looking to get into contention and revisit a failed booking following his latest win. Moore (15-9 MMA, 6-5 BMMA) returned to the cage last Friday, defeating Arivaldo Silva by unanimous decision at Bellator 285 in Dublin.
And now with some speed back, Moore is hoping to clash with former Bellator title challenger Leandro Higo.
“Leandro and I were supposed to fight in Italy a while ago,” Moore told reporters at the Bellator 285 post-fight press conference. “He had a visa issue, so that’s the fight I really want. I respect the ‘Pitbull’ brothers, not so much him. So I’ll take it.
He added later.
“It’s a work in progress. She was going to lose him in Italy, he couldn’t get his visa, but I still want to knock him out.
Moore snapped a two-fight losing streak with a win over Silva. Despite his setbacks in the promotion, he feels ready to continue with the best.
“It was dominant from start to finish,” Moore said of the win. “I was going for the final, you know how I am, but he was very strong, and he was on the chin. He was unpredictable and had a good guard and excellent takedowns.
“So I had to pick my shots but it was dominant from start to finish. I am happy for that. Every time I fight in Ireland they only give me top fives and top 10s. This is the first time I’ve ever fought someone who’s out of step and watched what happened. I’m ready for that step in the next race.
