Today’s RealTrending podcast features CEO Nick Rohn American home buyersRenovating and selling houses. Ron discusses the difference between a company and iBuyer and how important it is to have a personal touch.
Here is a small preview of today’s interview with Nick. The transcript below has been slightly edited for length and clarity:
Nick Rohn: We do not consider ourselves an iBuyer. We automate our reviews and a lot of the process, but the reason we’re not ibuyer is because we’re high touch. So if you look at the big iBuyers out there, they really, really don’t like talking to people. They just don’t do it. They talk to the computer. These have popular websites, and you can get discounts online.
We understand that real estate has always been and always will be high touch. This is people’s greatest asset and not everyone is comfortable working with computers alone. Well, our customers can if they want, but we’re keeping track. We call them at least once a week and say, “Hey, do you need anything? And here’s what we’re up to. And we’re here to guide them and hold them in the process. So we are a combination of high technology and high touch, that is our difference.
In this market, iBuyers are buying a lot, they all lose money. So they are very good at losing money. So that’s where iBuyer’s place is. iBuyers clean and detailed – that’s the model. However, our mindset is that we do everything we can to add value to the property. If a new foundation is needed; We lay a new foundation. If we need to pollinate, we will pollute the house. And we did that. And obviously, we’re trying to maximize the return on investment.
